Jack and the Beanstalk Video Slot is inspired by the story of a young boy who lives with his widowed mother. They have a milking cow who stops producing milk; the milk being their only source of income, the mother sends Jack off to the farmer’s market to sell the cow. On his way to the market with the cow, Jack runs into an old man who offers Jack ‘magic beans’ in exchange for the cow. The ‘magic beans’ sprouted into a gigantic beanstalk that reached to the clouds and out of sight… overnight! Jack decides to climb the gigantic beanstalk, and reaching the top there is another land high above the clouds, and there is a gigantic castle there, where a giant man lives with his wife. Jack went to the castle and knocked on the huge door. The giant’s wife opens the door, and Jack asks for something to eat, and the wife invites him inside. The giant had been out for the day and upon returning to his castle, he smells the scent of a human… Jack!
The giant roars out, “Fee-fi-fo-fum! I smell the blood of an Englishman… Be he alive or be he dead… I’ll grind his bones to make my bread!”
The wife hides Jack from her giant husband, and from his hiding place, Jack overhears the giant counting his money. Later that night, when the giant was sleeping, Jack steals a bag of gold coins and escapes down the beanstalk and returns home safely.
Tempted by the giants treasures, Jack returns up the beanstalk to the giant’s castle twice more. The giant’s wife helps him both times, but she is becoming more and more suspicious of Jack. Jack learns of other treasures the giant possesses and again, steals in the middle of the night while the giant sleeps. The first time, Jack steals a goose that lays golden eggs. On his second return, Jack attempts to steal a magic golden harp, however the giant wakes up before Jack can escape, and chases Jack down the beanstalk.
When Jack gets safely to the bottom of the beanstalk, the giant was still making his descent, so Jack calls out to his mother to bring him the axe. When she does, Jack chops down the beanstalk and the giant falls to his death. Jack and his mother live happily ever after with the goose that lays golden eggs (in the game the goose is a hen) and the golden magic harp.
